A thought-provoking and highly emotive presentation by celebrity hairdresser, Andrew Barton closed our biggest ever Inspire! event, and the FHA members who came – over 100 freelance hairdressers – absolutely loved it.

Top industry names and some of the biggest brands in hairdressing sponsored and took part in FHA’s Inspire!2019 at Sketchley Grange Hotel on 9th June.

There were fabulous presentations by Indola, showcasing their Street Style collection, Wahl Academy’s, Simon Shaw, business guru, John Huscroft and TIGI, with their Copyright Colour range. The ‘FHA Village & Marketplace’, which included stalls by Wella, Spencer Scissors, Hubber, Aston & Fincher, Innoluxe, Kerastraight and CW Hair Supplies, was also a highlight.

The audience was wowed by Andrew Barton’s closing demo where, alongside Racoon International, he transformed his model’s hair with cutting edge extensions – while reminding the room that they have the power to change lives by making them feel better about themselves.

FHA founder, Sheila Abrahams said: “We are over the moon with how the day went and have had so many positive comments from our members who say they learnt lots and feel motivated and inspired. It was by far our biggest and best event yet, and our sponsors and supporters were also thrilled to have been able to target so many freelancers with their fantastic product ranges. If it wasn’t for their continued support and recognition that our members hold a very special place in the industry, the event would not be possible.”

Just a few of the comments…

Kelly Gonsalves, from Bournmouth: “I thoroughly enjoy coming every year – to be inspired and to meet new people. It has been an incredible day of learning.”

Louise Allen, from Luton: “We have had lots of inspiration, got some great ideas and learnt from the presentations. Being a member of FHA makes you stands out from the rest – clients are impressed when you are associated with a professional body.”

Angela Wellbelove, from Worthing: “I was getting a bit demotivated and wanted some inspiration. Today has been a fantastic experience – seeing the new cutting techniques, colours, and listening to the knowledgeable presenters has been fascinating and I am looking forward to putting all I have learnt into practice.”

Kate Lovelace, from Guildford: “There has been so much new information to absorb – it’s been such a brilliant day.”

Jane A’Lee from Northamptonshire: “You get to find out about new products which I may not have otherwise heard about and meet new people
