Behind the scenes – preparations for Inspire well underway

Our prestigious Inspire event is the highlight of the year for many freelance hairdressers and industry names. But organising such a huge event is a big deal – all the fabulous stage presentations, appearances from hairdressing icons, incredible Village Fair, and of course the FHA UK Freelance Awards, it’s no easy feat.
We’ve been working hard all year to prepare for Inspire, but now that it’s just over a month away, planning really comes together.
We are only a small team so it’s up to us to sort out everything, from the staging and lighting requirements of our special guests, to liaising with suppliers and making the final arrangements for our legendary goodie bags (which, as always, will be filled with some of the most amazing products, worth hundreds of pounds).
Inspire has developed over the 23 years it’s been running, and it’s even had some name changes along the way – but the main focus has never changed. It’s about giving freelance hairdressers (who make up 60% of the hairdressing industry!) a chance to network and educate. It’s also an opportunity for big industry names to connect with one of their biggest target groups. We are so proud of how it has evolved and there really is no other event like it.
So what’s new for 2019?
It’s going to be big. For a start we have spiced things up by hosting the event at a new venue – Sketchley Grange Hotel. Celebrity hairdresser, Andrew Barton will be sharing his creative ideas on stage – this will be a highlight, I’m sure.
The Village Fair will be the biggest yet, with names like KeraStraight, INNOluxe, Spencer Dudman Scissors and Aston & Fincher. We also have representatives from Hubber with a new take on chair renting for members.
We are thrilled that Wella, Indola and L’Oreal are continuing their support, and we are also delighted to welcome TIGI on board as new sponsors for 2019 too.
The high standard of entries for our 2019 FHA UK Freelance Awards is incredible so I am excited for those.
We have put lots of effort into making Inspire 2019 the biggest and best event to date – we can’t wait to see you there.
