So we find ourselves back to work in the new normal that we have to learn to cope with for the foreseeable future. We are resilient people and will make this work, through the discomfort, to beautify our clients.

You have put the most beautiful lockdown transformations in our Staff Room Chat, shared your successes and supported each other when the going gets tough. You have together created a strong, caring and sharing community and have the support and respect of the the industry.

Lockdown has hugely increased our numbers with newcomers as well as past members coming home. I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you and am truly delighted to see you getting involved straight away and feeling the benefit of belonging.

Zoom meetings during Lockdown brought us all so much closer together. We had advice, and guests, it was such a special time and we really bonded. So much so that our Zoom meetings will continue on an ad hoc basis.

The new way of working changes many things including the way we train which for the foreseeable future will be Zoomed! Currently I am working on bringing you a varied selection of sessions some with a fee and some that are free, I hope something for everyone. As I write this the schedule is already under way and you are filling the sessions. Wonderful news! A little heads up for what is coming. We have a session with John Huscroft our friendly business guru, a session with Desmond Murray, sharing his expertise and talking all things afro hair. We have practical sessions with Wella and Indola will be along to share their colour secrets with you. Another opportunity for new businesses or those that need a refresh to join our complimentary Business Advice session. All courses will now be booked online which means you can book at any time to suit yourself No longer tied to office hours, great for insomniacs!

I do hope to keep my message board more up to date in the future and look forward to seeing you taking full advantage of what the FHA offers, including money saving opportunities with wholesalers and various companies.
