HABB (Hair and Beauty Benevolant) has rebranded as The Hairdressers Charity. The same rules apply and I am concerned that many of you are unaware of how it can benefit you. You do not have to be a member to call on the charity in times of need, you simply have to be a part of the hairdressing industry.
What concerns me is that we can all be affected by illness or something that causes a problem that stops you working. It can happen to any of us at any time and we suddenly cant work and therefore cant pay bills. I have spoken to members recently who have hit on difficult times and they were unaware that they could call on the Hairdressers Charity for help. I sat on the charity committee for many years and know the type of problems that come before the committee and how they are dealt with. If, for example, you were unable to work because of an operation and needed time to recover clearly you cant work and the bills begin to mount up.
The Hairdressers Charity get this type of scenario coming to them and they have the resources to give you financial help to get you back on your feet.If you find yourself in any type of situation where you are unable to work for a short space of time which puts you on the back foot, if you don’t want to go to the charity direct call me and I can guide you as to what would be your best course of action. If I believe the charity could help you I can help you with an application.
A problem shared is a problem halved and talking is what we do best! So talk if you need help, we are here to help.
